Sunshine Flash

Posted by thepunisher131 Aug. 27, 2007 @ 7:22 AM EDT

This is the worst thing I have seen on newgrounds. I don't understand how it passes judgment every time. I have a BAD feeling that they will unfortunately be the next clock crew. People find it necessary to pass horrible flash. Clocks, locks, and these guys are making me not even want to visit newgrounds. It boggles the mind that this crap actually passes with decent scores. I guess I am getting to old for this stuff.

Clock Day

Posted by thepunisher131 Aug. 15, 2007 @ 6:28 AM EDT

Well, if you are not talented but want to have your flash accepted onto the portal anyway, today is your lucky day. I know I will get bashed for this one, but I have to put this out. I really am not a fan of clocks. I mean, what talent does it take to put the letter B as a submission and have it pass? I admit, today I too am letting a lot of crap get by just to get more protect points. It is pretty sad. I have actually seen an entry or two that actually was good enough on its own merit, in spite of being a clock submission, and gave them really good scores. I know there is nothing you can do about the clocks. A lot of stuff will get through over the next few days that normally would get the axe, but don't worry. Within a month, things should get back to normal. For those of you who are clocks, enjoy your day. I will enjoy the protect points I get for letting crap get through that I know isn't all that good. Yes, I am a part of the problem, not the solution. What can you do though? The masses have spoken, and at least for today, they want clocks.

Irritated

How is it that there are no checks in place for submissions after they have passed judgment? I probably am the most vocal person on this issue, but damn it, this needs to be addressed. I know people say just email Wade, but really, that isn't a quick fix. For example, just this morning, 2 files that are not only offensive, but auto-spawn a web page and give you a virus replaced 2 submissions that passed judgment. This is not the first time, and I am sure it wont be the last. A clear answer for this, as I have stated several times, is to put in a whistle system even after it has passed judgment. Another answer that would be good would be to disallow people from changing their file after it has passed judgment. If they do need to change something, they should have to be the one's who email Wade requesting permission to do so. I am sure he is getting tired of his inbox being full of angry emails. If people wouldn't be douche bags, then we would not need such measures to be implemented. Unfortunately, there are idiots who think they are funny who feel the need to be jerks. As long as those people lurk here, then such measures are needed.
